Conversation with film director Dominik Mence

A new feature of this year's Glasba Film program are Film Meetings, which will be held every fourth Thursday, and are being prepared in collaboration with the Institute for the Promotion of Visual Culture.

At the first event, we will meet a young but very promising filmmaker, AGRFT graduate, Dominik Mence, who won three VESNA awards at the 2014 Slovenian Film Festival for his graduation film Prespana pomlad, for direction, screenplay and best short film. The film also won VESNA awards for best leading actress and scenography. We will talk to Dominik about the creative process of building the story, the screenplay and the directing techniques that led to such a film's conclusion. The conversation, which will be moderated by Rok Govednik (Zavod Vizo), will also be accompanied by a screening of the film Prespana pomlad.

The Film Meetings program is prepared in cooperation with the Institute for the Promotion of Visual Culture Vizo, which prepares and implements cultural and educational activities in the field of film and other visual media for children and young people throughout Slovenia.
