ON FOOT TO ROME, COMPOSTELLA and JERUSALEM
You are invited to a presentation of the journey of former journalist Delo, who left the world and turned into a beggar pilgrim. For a good decade, he walked along ancient pilgrimage routes and, among other things, walked from Slovenia to Rome, Compostela and Jerusalem. He walked around 40,000 kilometers without money, supposedly most of it in Slovenia.
He wrote a book titled POTopis, which captured the essence of this journey in words. Written in silence, it is intended for all those who are close to spirituality, finding their life path and following it regardless of the cost.
It was chosen as the book of the month in Bukla. It was illustrated by the famous Slovenian-Russian painter, Nikolaj Mashukov. The book is not for sale. You can only get it at its presentation.
Viljem is a special kind of pilgrim. He travels without money or possessions and, in principle, does not ask for anything, not even food or shelter. The lawyer and master of sociology was once full of money, a careerist, ambitious, even greedy. Fifteen years ago, he left behind a life of material abundance, emptied, lonely and dissatisfied, and decided to walk the world – without anything.
