Magda Šalamon will present selected routes through the Himalayas that wind beneath some of the highest peaks. You will learn about her climb of Imja Tse, better known as Island Peak, which measures 6,165 meters and looks like an island in a sea of ice. She will recall the demanding climb of the West Ridge of Everest in 1979, led by the legendary Slovenian alpinist, mountain rescuer, photographer and writer Tone Škarja, and the anniversary of this supreme achievement. With her, you will set off on the third highest mountain in the world, Kangcendzenga, and see the Annapurna mountain range. Finally, you will get closer to Mount Lantang Lirung, where our alpinist Tomaž Humar lost his life in 2009. She will also present the life of the Nepalese, who openly and wholeheartedly advocate for the values of life.

The Multiple Sclerosis Association of Slovenia is celebrating 52 years of operation this year with the aim of uniting all people with multiple sclerosis (MS) in Slovenia and helping them in their everyday lives to improve their psychophysical health. The Celje branch of MS covers 23 municipalities. We carry out numerous activities throughout the year: guided exercise to strengthen psychophysical abilities, playing table tennis, shooting with an air rifle, bowling, fishing, chess, tarot, darts, hiking and swimming. We also have monthly self-help groups that offer members help and support, alleviating loneliness and personal hardship. In them, members receive all information in the fields of healthcare, employment, human and patient rights, and the right to pension and disability insurance. We organize handicraft workshops, picnics, end-of-year parties, relaxed nature gatherings... Multiple sclerosis is a disease of the central nervous system and is the most common disease of the neuro-immune system in our country.
