Novel Trapped in freedom is the confession of a traveler who, due to canceled flights at the beginning of the global pandemic, remains trapped in the Solomon Islands. Alone. In a tropical paradise, among unknown people and their customs. Left to her own ingenuity. With a sharp gaze and the skillful pen of a journalist, she takes us on an odyssey through Australia, Hawaii, Fiji and the Solomon Islands with travelogue precision, and touches on several other explorations with her memories. She survives a hurricane in the middle of the ocean, experiences a murder among the Aborigines, climbs Uluru just before its closure, dives with sharks, picks up white chalk for a few days and transforms herself into a teacher at a village school... She connects places with people. Unknown people who cross her path.
"Some held up a mirror for me, others put salt on my earlobe, some sailed the same river, albeit against the current... but they were simply there when I needed them most." But the journey is not only physical. In the middle of the wilderness, under the thousands of stars of the endless sky, a metaphysical journey into oneself and into the depths of one's being also takes place. "Did I really have to go that far away to know and accept myself?" she gets the answer: "Then it just came by itself. That's what happens when you're on the right path. That's what happens when you start to accept yourself."
Discover the infinite power in freedom. Because life is memories. Moments. Experiences. Journeys.
