A look into space
October 13, 2014 at 5:30 PM
Members of the University for the Third Age are cordially invited to a popular science lecture by Ludvik Jevšenak entitled A Look into Space. Ludvik Jevšenak is a translator of numerous books in the field of space, one of the latest being Astronomy, authored by Rainer Kothe. The book provides basic knowledge about the universe, planets, stars and galaxies. It is designed as an exciting journey through space. The Earth, our homeland, is just a tiny point in an immensely large universe. We can only just imagine the distance to the Moon, while the nearest star is unimaginably far away.
The lecture A Look into Space will also be an interesting and educational start for students who enrolled in the new program DISCOVERING THE SPACE in the 2014/2015 school year.
You are cordially invited!
