A little over a year ago, the routine of our lives was disrupted by the epidemic of the new coronavirus disease, which marked us in a way that is probably unlike any event in the memory of living generations.

One of the important documents of this time is certainly the work of a Slovenian, a correspondent for RTV in Rome, Janka Petrovca, who will also be our guest this time. We have also included the book on the list of recommended literature for the jubilee 10th reading badge for adults By reading to the stars.

The Goga publishing house, which published the book, wrote:
“Notes from quarantine, from the time of the new coronavirus, from Rome – the capital of the first epicenter of the epidemic in Europe. Solitude and hardship also trigger memories of other disasters – from cities destroyed by earthquakes, from ships rescuing refugees. The author describes personal hardships with humor, and disasters that affect others with deep compassion. Diaries, essays, travelogue? Definitely good literature with two faces – with one it cries, with the other it laughs.”

The conversation with the author will be led by Kristian Kozelj, you can watch it live on FB page of the Celje Central Library on Thursday, April 8, at 6 p.m.
