The Fabula Festival will conclude in grand style - with a unique artistic experience that will combine dance art, literary reflection, and socializing. In collaboration with the Celje Dance Forum, a dance performance will come to life on stage IT, which explores contemporary themes of gender identity, social expectations, and resistance to traditional norms through dynamic movement.

The performance focuses on transcending binary gender definitions and opens up a discussion about diverse forms of identity, such as asexuality, transgenderism and cisgender. Choreographer Iza Skok, together with dancers Zoja Jager, Tara Ema Žnidar, Sofija Ermakova and Miša Rančigaj, brings to the stage a blend of physical expression that addresses current social issues. The aesthetic excess of the performance is also complemented by the thoughtful costume design by Maja Zupanc Žibret, which with its symbolism opens up additional interpretive layers.

The dance performance will be followed by a conversation with Italian-Pakistani author Saif ur Rehman Raja., this year's Fabula Hub featured author, who will conclude his residency in Celje on this occasion. Raja, author of the autobiographical novel Hidžra, will speak on the themes of gender and cultural identity, marginalization, and the liberating power of creative expression. Together, we will explore how dance and literature open up space for reflection and change in social structures.

The evening will end with a relaxed gathering at the festival's closing party, where we will toast the successful end of this year's Fabula in a pleasant atmosphere and celebrate the unifying power of art. Fabula in Dance will be more than just a closing event - it will be a celebration of art, creativity, and the stories that connect us.

The closing event will take place in the Dance Forum.
