January 20, 1890 – Fedor Gradišnik, a pharmacist, theater director and publicist, was born in Hrastnik. He died on June 5, 1972 in Celje.

Due to his father's job, they moved to Celje in 1897. After finishing high school in Celje and Ljubljana, he decided to study pharmacy in Prague, which he successfully completed in 1913. He got his first job in Neumarkt in South Tyrol. After the First World War, he rented his own pharmacy in Jesenice, and in 1923 he returned to Celje, where he became the owner of the pharmacy. During the German occupation, he was exiled to Serbia. He abandoned pharmacy in the first years after the war.

His great love was the theater. He loved performing since childhood, initially as a member of the dramatic section of the Celje Singing Society. From 1904 to 1907, he led the Celje Student Theater. He attended the drama school of the Provincial Theater in Ljubljana, where he also performed. After the First World War, he worked first in Jesenice and then in Celje, where he directed plays and played a number of key roles in them. He established artistic theater in the Dramatic Society. From 1932 to 1935, he worked in the Celje Studio. His most successful acting creations are related to Župančič's, Novačan's and Kreft's characters: Kantor (Cankar - Kralj na Betajnova), Herman (O. Zupančič - Veronika Deseniška; A. Novačan - Herman Celjski; B. Kreft - Celjski grofje), Zois (B. Kreft - Kranjski komedijanti). His theatrical instinct did not rest even in exile in Serbia, where he performed The King on Betajnova with a Slovenian troupe. After returning to Celje, he gathered Celje's theatergoers and in 1949 became the manager of the newly founded professional theater, where he proved to be an excellent organizer. He retired in 1962.
He wrote several plays and dramatizations and translated. He devoted a lot of time to journalism. He published reviews, theater reports, and stories from theater life in newspapers. Between 1947 and 1956, he published the History of Celje Theater Life in Gledališki list.
