The Bergerac Syndrome has a simple plot: we follow a group of young people preparing a play for several months, and we observe the development of their relationships. The story is based on the experiences of the author Pablo Gutiérrez, when he prepared a stage production with his students. Through the eyes of the group of students, we can rediscover theater or experience it for the first time with its limitations and magic, moments of despair and euphoria. Through the first-person narrator, Marina, the author reflects on expectations, shyness, prejudice, friendship and love.
