The main character Diego is a thirteen-year-old boy who is supposed to achieve great success in life, as he is a famous actor in popular horror films. But the reality is quite different, as he has been filmed 24/7 at the Dark Street film studios, where he lives with his parents, since childhood. The constant avalanche of fears and monster appearances causes him enormous stress. The only consolation he receives from his fans are optimistic and encouraging messages. His parents do not get along, they often argue, and his only ambition is to escape from such a life. However, this will not be easy, because "Production", the owner of everything, does not choose any means to prevent him from leaving.
The novel for young people and adults is simple and easy to read. However, a deeper reading encourages us to rethink the theme of life as a work of art, shaped and manipulated by an external elite. A possible way out of this is escape – to give up the state of comfort and become the master of ourselves, far from the routine that limits us. But who can I trust? What is real and what is just part of the reality show I live in? The novel opens a conversation about child influencers, reality formats, the commercialization of intimacy, contractual violence, online rumors and the right to privacy.
