Review of Bukla

One of the most versatile and contemporary domestic creators for children and adults, Andrej Rozman Roza, who has received numerous awards for his work, including the Levstik, Župančič and Prešeren awards, recently celebrated his 60th birthday. During this time, he has written more than eighty works and his "bunch of raisins" includes, in addition to poems and fairy tales, numerous theater plays for children and adults, as well as many adapted classic texts and translations. The latest collection of short humorous stories brings, in addition to two dozen adventures of the popular hippo man and Mr. Šilček, also dragon adventures, a bear who wants to learn to ride a bike, a pig and a shrimp in the theater, an enchanted frog and many other pre-fairy tales and short stories, enriched with recognizable illustrations by this year's Levstik award winner Zvonko Čoh. The author, who persistently trains our brains with word games, as in the book's title, also plays with grammatical rules in these stories, which is why the book covers say: "Warning! Writing indefinites without an i can seriously damage your school grade."
