Publisher about the book
Switzerland is synonymous with a very rich and well-organized country. At one time, in Yugoslavia, we considered ourselves a kind of socialist Switzerland. And the rest of Yugoslavia also considered us a kind of Switzerland. We imagined that as an independent country we would really become another Switzerland. We have the Alps, successful skiers, we are quite technically talented, but also hardy. But we did not become another Switzerland. What went wrong? Or is it just that we had a wrong, overblown image of ourselves? Sober and critical thinking about ourselves in Slovenia did not have and still does not have much of a homeland right. And until this happens, there are no prerequisites for us to be ranked among the most developed European countries.
