This is the third book in the Around the World series. The idea of the collection is to take young readers, through short, simple stories, to different, distant corners of the world, to children of different nationalities or peoples, and to introduce them to (and bring closer) a piece of their lives, thus broadening their horizons. The third book takes the reader to the Maori, to the sea, where a tense canoe race between two boys takes place, which also includes whales; like the previous two, this one also unobtrusively promotes the values of friendship and solidarity.
