High school student Lizzie's life hasn't been easy since her father died four years ago. Her mother drinks most of the time, so Lizzie has to take care of her younger brother Charlie. It gets even worse when her mother's lover Dean moves in with them. He's quick-tempered and a bad person. In order to protect Charlie from his violence, Lizzie becomes his target herself.
