Publisher about the book:

Leon and Eva are from completely different parts of Europe – Eva from Slovenia, Leon from Sweden. Although today's teenagers are considered alienated and unsocialized, as they spend a lot of time on the computer and in the virtual world, Eva and Leona's friendship in the "virtual" world encourages them to meet in person. They make a plan, but when they want to implement it, it constantly collapses with constant and extremely comical, sometimes even dramatic complications, but with youthful improvisation and ingenuity, they finally achieve their goal – they meet.
Damijan Šinigoj is a Slovenian prose writer whose books have received very good reviews from both critics and readers. The youth novel Iskanje Eve is his first work (also) for young people, for teenagers over 12 years old, which, like his other works, is distinguished by an exceptional sense of humor. Which, surprisingly, is not a very common occurrence in Slovenian youth literature. The novel Iskanje Eve does not moralize, does not preach or teach, it is (primarily) a novel about two teenagers who become friends with the help of the Internet, social networks and modern technology. In his well-known humorous style, Šinigoj weaves (and complicates) a very interesting story, which reveals the everyday dynamics of a loving family, where there is no shortage of typical conundrums that parents and children of modern times face. Although everything is happening faster today, the basic emotional dilemmas in the book remain timeless. The novel will certainly attract adult readers as well, as it is high-quality literature that even older people enjoy reading.
