Review of Bukla

Two new titles have been added to the already extensive collection of simple identification keys: Butterflies and Winter green plants. Butterflies are an extremely popular group of insects among young naturalists due to their colorful colors and diversity, but the small booklet is not intended for catching them, but rather invites them to carefully observe their patterns, colors, body shapes and wings. With the help of the key and extremely beautiful photographs, they will be able to greatly enrich their knowledge of butterflies, as the booklet contains more than thirty different butterflies. In our region, observing plants is also fun in winter, as there are many trees and shrubs around us that do not shed their leaves and retain their color, so young botanists will be especially happy with the key, which will help them decipher the names of numerous evergreen and evergreen plants.

About the book

Butterflies are a group of insects whose extraordinary variety of colors and wing patterns quickly catches our attention. Experts believe that there are more than 150,000 species of butterflies in the world, so we can say that butterflies are the third largest group of insects. The book My First Butterflies includes 37 common species of butterflies found in Slovenia.
The purpose of the book is to guide us towards accurate observation of butterflies, paying attention to details such as color, pattern, and shape of wings and bodies.
With this book, we do not want to encourage young naturalists to hunt butterflies, but rather to encourage the desire to observe them, to be aware of their importance in nature, and to try to preserve and protect them from destructive influences.
