Charlie helps his mother run the family hotel, which is certainly not very exciting. The only other people he has contact with during the summer are Penny Price, a spoiled child actress from the popular TV series Little Detective, Mr. Ignoto, an elderly resident at the hotel, and his friend Dexter, who teaches him how to drive. Then something unimaginable happens at the hotel. One of the guests dies and Charlie suspects that it was not an accident. No one believes him, except Penny, who seizes the opportunity to solve a real murder. The two young detectives, however, are unaware that danger threatens them too...
