Honey February 25 and March 31, 2026 will take place Festival ifterature of the world - Fabula 2026. It is the most prominent literary festival in Slovenia and one of the leading literary events in the wider region. Since its establishment in 2003, it has hosted numerous top contemporary authors whose work has left its mark on world literature and transcended the boundaries of national literatures.

The festival once again implements the principle of decentralization of cultural events and connects Ljubljana, Celje, Maribor and other Slovenian cities and thereby builds a branched network of literary venues that connects local communities with top international literary voices. With the slogan (co)responsible It puts the fundamental question of our time at the center: how to coexist and function in a world of crisis of trust, disintegration of truth and a pervasive sense of helplessness?

In Celje, a new program set is joining the main program Plot focus, which will highlight Croatian authors Kristian Novak and Slavenko Drakulic.
