Jack has just turned five. He tells us about his life with his mother in the Room. Slowly, his mother begins to reveal secrets to him. That the world they see on TV is not entirely fictional. That there are other people besides them and their nightly visitor, from whom his mother hid him in the Closet. And that they must find a way out of the Room. Only Jack can succeed, so they start practicing. Life Outside is completely different, adapting is difficult. Jack is a very special five-year-old with above-average language and mathematical abilities for his age. However, he was born in the Room and has only been in contact with his mother all his life, who took great care of him. The multitude of new information, people and the great attention of the media are a great burden for him. The writer empathized with the child's soul, the need for acceptance and security, and wrote a novel about a mother's love and will to live.
