The SOŽITJE Association is a member of the Sožitje Association - an association of associations for helping people with intellectual disabilities, which is an organization with social and humanitarian goals and an organization for the advancement of joint and individual care for people with intellectual disabilities, their parents and family members.

Members of the association will present what intellectual disabilities actually are and what are the most common misconceptions we have about people with intellectual disabilities. As Branka D. Jurišić wrote: “People with intellectual disabilities are more similar to other people than they are different from them. They have desires, friends, interests and problems. In the preschool period, most of them go to kindergarten, later to school and after completing school, they get a job. Sometimes their needs for upbringing, education and work are different, special. That is why they belong to the group of people with special needs.”

We will also learn about the programs that the Sožitje association and association implement in the field of helping people with intellectual disabilities, especially the Special Olympics and Abilimpiada, and other activities.
