In the booklet, you will find numerous opportunities for learning, creating, researching, exercising, and socializing.
In order to bring U3O Celje closer to the widest possible circle of elderly residents of Celje and the surrounding area, this year we have prepared a diverse range of more than 45 programs, some of which are free, while others are affordable and tailored to the various interests and wishes of our members.
Programs are available in the areas of culture and creative expression, music, theater and performance, foreign languages, crafts and creativity, natural sciences, environment and cuisine, discovering the world around us, movement and health, cognitive exercise and mind games, and digital literacy and technology.
In addition to regular programs, we also prepare cultural events, visits to theater, opera and ballet performances, interesting excursions and various lectures by renowned experts.
U3O Celje members are offered numerous benefits, including discounts on subscriptions to the Slovenian Folk Theatre Celje, the House of Culture Celje and the Celje String Orchestra, as well as special ticket prices for selected events at the Celeia Celje Institute, the Centre for Contemporary Arts Celje and other cultural institutions.
As part of the UNESCO Creative City of Literature project, we will once again this year, in collaboration with Kino Union, offer members an affordable viewing of film performances based on literary models.
A special place in our program is held by the local history Monday evenings, which were conceived and co-created for many years by the late Božena Orožen, an honorary member of U3O Celje. In the future, the evenings will also be dedicated to meeting interesting interlocutors, stories and memories of our region.
Skozi leto pripravljamo tudi družabna srečanja, krajše delavnice ter praktična izobraževanja s področja sodobnih tehnologij in digitalnih znanj. Program bo letos zaživel pod imenom Digi SOS točka in bo poleg digitalnega opismenjevanja posebno pozornost namenjal medgeneracijskemu druženju in povezovanju.
