With numerous events in the library, we want to encourage visitors to read and socialize with books. One such project is certainly the reading badge for adults "With reading to the stars", which we officially launched this year on the Slovenian cultural holiday. With the project, we invite you to read together as often as possible and to enjoy quality reading. The charm of the reading badge is that you choose books that you might never have chosen yourself and that you step out of your reading comfort zone. And don't forget, reading has positive effects for us, as it improves memory, stimulates thinking, expands vocabulary and takes us to unknown stories that we will think about for a long time.

The list was created by librarians from different departments, so this year's list is extremely diverse. I believe you will be happy to read 5 or more.

We will read with Prešeren, from the Slovenian Cultural Holiday to the happy Culture Day in early December. The closing event will take place on December 4. To win the Celje Reading Badge, all you have to do is choose five titles from the list of recommended literature, read them, and then – if you wish – write down your thoughts and feelings that arose while reading on a book index. You can drop it off in the box in the fiction department on the ground floor by the end of November.
