Notice on the processing of personal data of members enrolled in U3O.
The membership fee of the University for the 3rd Life Period of Celje (U3O) for current members of the Central Library of Celje is 10.00 EUR, for non-members 15.00 EUR. You can become a library member at the same time as enrolling at the university and take advantage of the discount. The membership fee is paid at the library upon enrollment. Married couples or partners with a common residence pay the membership fee for only one member.
Payment of the membership fee for the current academic year enables you to attend U3O lifelong learning programs (hereinafter referred to as the program), receive information about U3O activities, participate in activities and paid excursions, and view operas, ballets, and theater performances organized by U3O, while also bringing you more favorable ticket prices and discounts at various institutions and local providers.
Participation in most programs requires payment of a mentoring fee. The amount of payment depends on the amount of the mentoring fee and the number of participants. The booklet states the estimated price for a group of ten (10) participants, unless otherwise stated in the program. The final amount is calculated after registration is completed or individual groups are formed. The price of the program does not depend on the number of visits of an individual participant.
The program will be carried out if at least eight (8) participants register, and in case of a smaller number of registrations, by agreement (each interested participant signs a statement of agreement to the higher costs of a smaller group). The programs have different limits on the number of participants. If the program is full at the time of registration, we may place you on a waiting list and inform you of any vacancies.
The expected start date of each program is stated in the booklet. You will be notified of the start date of the program you are enrolled in by email or SMS. The program will be implemented according to the planned schedule with possible adjustments and will be completed in its entirety during the current academic year.
Most programs consist of between 20 and 40 hours per year or by agreement.. Groups meet once a week for two school hours, unless the implementation of the program dictates otherwise.
It is desirable that study groups periodically present their activities and the results of their work to the public.
Local Studies and Cultural History Program
Local history evenings are one of the most recognizable activities of our U3O and its oldest tradition. It was around these traditional Monday meetings that our U3O was formed in 1994. Every Monday of the month, we organize a variety of lectures as part of the Local Studies and Cultural History program, and occasionally we also diversify the university's activities with excursions, tours of exhibitions at home and abroad, visits to musical performances, operas, ballets, and various workshops.
Enrollment process
It is advisable that you write down the required information on the registration form and indicate the programs you wish to enroll in during the academic year before registering at the U3O office.
By signing the registration form, you confirm:
- that you are aware that registration and payment for an individual program are binding,
- that you participate in the activity at your own request, will and responsibility,
- that you will settle your financial obligations on time,
- that you are familiar with the U3O Code of Conduct and that you will strive to comply with it, and
- that you are fully familiar with the enrollment conditions.
Upon registration, we confirm the validity of your U3O membership card, and new members receive their own membership card. This allows them to claim discounts and other benefits from external providers with whom U3O cooperates.
Cancellation of participation in a registered program
Cancellation of participation in the registered program is possible only in writing by e-mail to the address u3o@knjiznica-celje.si or by mail to the address: Central Library of Celje (U3O), Muzejski trg 1a, 3000 Celje.
If the participant cancels their participation in writing for health reasons, they will pay the proportional part of the program price that has accrued from the start of the program until the day of cancellation. In all other cases of cancellation, the participant is obliged to pay the full amount of the program. If they do not give written cancellation, they are considered to be attending the program regularly, and therefore they are also obliged to pay the full amount of the program.
