April guest Mateje Zvižej will be one of the acting legends of the Slovenian Folk Theatre Celje Bojan Umek.
Bojan Umek was born in Brežice, where he also completed high school, and then graduated from the then AGRTFTV in Ljubljana.
After graduating, he was a member of the Slovenian Permanent Theatre in Trieste for one season, and then joined the Celje acting ensemble in 1984 and became one of the main members of the ensemble with a series of excellently played dramatic characters. According to director Vinko Möderndorfer, he is an actor known for his meticulous study of roles and his investigative spirit, with which he is able to give his characters very expressive features and make a deep impression on the audience.
He is also distinguished by his good singing skills, which give his playing additional dimensions when needed.
For the series of excellent roles he performed during his 21-year acting career in Celje, he received the silver coat of arms of the City Municipality of Celje in 2006.
