The title of the first lecture in 2017 is Lars von Trier and Andrei Tarkovsky; The Question of Evil in the Films Antichrist and Solaris
With the film Antichrist, Lars von Trier opened the eternal question of the origin of evil. Although he wanted to make a horror film, his approach greatly transcended this genre, although the film is extremely brutal, like the brutal evil that is in man. He intertwines the story in a special way with well-known historical and mythical accents from the biblical tradition. He dedicated the film to Andrei Tarkovsky, because, as he said, he had already taken too many ideas from him to avoid it.
