On Monday, February 27, will at 5:30 p.m. in the Levstik Hall, our guest editor, ethnologist and photographer Alenka VEBER from the Rihtar Homestead Institute. In a lecture entitled THERE STANDS THE WHITE CASTLE Alenka will present castles in Slovenia from the beginnings to the present day, folk traditions associated with castles, and in more detail castles in Notranjska (Snežnik, Jama, Prem, Lož, Hošperk, Šteberk, Kalec). The lecture was created to coincide with the publication of a booklet by the Notranjska emigrant writer Franko Troha Rihtarjev Life in the vast forest around Snežnik, which was published on the 200th anniversary of the preserved document of the Troha family from Babno Polje with the handwritten signature and seal of Wolfgang Count Lichtenberg.
