On Monday, May 23rd, at 5:30 PM, we invite you to the Study Reading Room to socialize with Aleš Jelenko.

Jelenko is most recognizable in the cultural field, where he has been writing poetry and prose and photography for many years. So far, he has published six poetry collections, a book of short prose, a book of drama texts for youth theaters, and two professional books. He has achieved notable success in literary competitions. He is the recipient of the European literary award Ritratti di poesia and the recipient of the Municipal Prešeren Award. He publishes his works in all prominent literary magazines. Some of his poems have been translated into Greek, Croatian, Serbian, Italian, and German. In 2020, a book of his selected poems (entitled Časovna zanka) was published in Greek by Vakxikon Publications. He is the conceptual leader of the literary festival Spirala, which takes place in Slovenske Konjice, and the editor of the literary magazine of the same name, which is published under the auspices of the General Library of Slovenske Konjice. Since 2019, he has been the editor of the magazine for art and dialogue of cultures Provinca.

He will read poems from his upcoming collection at the evening. Terra Incognita, which will be published this year by KUD Apokalipsa.
