This year, the Celje Central Library joins numerous cultural institutions in Slovenia that will open their doors to visitors on February 8th, the Slovenian Cultural Day. 

We are preparing for you: 

9.00 – FIRST EDITIONS OF THE WORKS OF FRANCET PREŠERN AND RUDOLPH MAISTER (in exhibition space on the 1st floor of the library)

From the treasury of our rich book collection, we will put on display on the occasion of the Slovenian cultural holiday, first editions of works by France Prešeren and Rudolf Maister, as this year has been declared the Year of Maister. The exhibition will be enriched with poetry recitals by the famous Celje resident Alenka Pečnik, poet and president of the Celje City Quarter. The author of the exhibition is Dr. Alenka Hren Medved, head of the local history department. 
The exhibition will be on view until the end of February.

10:00 AM – BOOK TEA PARTY AT THE 13TH READING BADGE FOR ADULTS (in the fiction department on the 1st floor of the library)

This year's reading journey to the stars, the 13th in a row, begins on the Slovenian Cultural Day. It will last until the beginning of December, when the closing event will take place. 
Librarians will present their favorite suggestions from this year's recommended reading list, which includes 47 titles. We are also preparing small surprises and giveaways.
