The Golovec Celje Care and Work Center is a public institution that provides quality working and living conditions for adults with mental and physical developmental disabilities and those with acquired brain injuries, while taking into account the wishes and needs of users.

In 2026, they will celebrate 40 years of operation of the institution, and on this occasion, they will present the creativity, talent, and effort of users to the general public with an exhibition in the library.

For the exhibition, they prepared various unique products that users create within the framework of the social welfare service of guidance, protection and employment under special conditions - in workshops, such as paintings, ceramic products, handmade jewelry, paper products, sewing products, wood products and other decorative items.

The exhibition will allow visitors to get to know our institution, our work, and above all, the users who participate in our programs with great enthusiasm and creativity. Participating in the exhibition is an extremely motivating experience for our users. The opportunity to have their work seen and admired by the wider public gives them (and all of us) a sense of pride, encourages them to continue creating, and strengthens their self-confidence.

We provide users with a space to create, a space where they can show who they are, what they can do, and what is important to them.

Users express their feelings and mood through creation, and sometimes we can see in the products how they feel at the moment of creation. They express their view of the beauty of the world or the things around them. Some products contain a part of their story, memory or desire.

Every product is the result of their effort, learning, and perseverance.

Every product is different, just like the individual who made it.

Employees are immensely proud of the achievements of our users. Every success, no matter how small it may seem at first glance, is an important step forward for them. With hard work and perseverance, and with the constant support of employees, users progress and achieve visible changes.

We believe that by showcasing our products, we can contribute to greater understanding, acceptance and support for people with intellectual and physical disabilities in everyday life, while also contributing to raising awareness of the importance of including people with intellectual and physical disabilities in social life.
