Erik is the first child to travel to the Moon with his parents after their family is selected in an international competition. He records a video diary, explores the world of the Moon and the unusual creatures – the Moonies, while at the same time revealing other aspects of his life: family relationships, illness, fear, courage and dreams. The warm but also tense narrative provides a twist that surprises and deeply touches the reader.

This is the debut of an English professor, who doesn't seem to recognize it as a debut, as both the writing and the dramaturgy of the story are extremely skillful. If the author initially gives the impression that we are reading a science fiction novel, over time elements enter this illusion that reveal that it is something else. Something very real, realistic, here and now. Not only does the writer provide a big surprise, he also writes a highly moving story about a family that struggles with fear, but overcomes it with love.
