The eighth lecture is entitled The Age of Postmodernism and the End of Utopia. So what key insights led to the radical upheaval that swept away such and such utopian models of society? What does Foucault's famous equation mean; the economy of power = the economy of knowledge. Why, after establishing this insight, can nothing be the same as it was? How is the insight about the decentralized nature of the subject related to the emergence of radical pluralism and other key characteristics of postmodernism? To what extent is postmodern art still art?
