The Celje Central Library and the Pivec Publishing House invite you to an evening of poetry in the company of the Celje Knights of Poetry.

The Poetry Tournament is a competition for the best unpublished original poem in the Slovenian language, which has existed since 2001, and since 2008 has been organized in Maribor by the Pivec Publishing House.

Celje has produced a fine crop of poetic knights and knightesses in these years:

• Alenka Jovanovski (2004),
• Zoran Pevec (2006),
• Gloria Veber (2017) and
• Kristian Koželj (2021)

The audience-chosen knights also became Ana Marija Jutin and Bina Štampe ŽmavcShe will also perform Tanja P. Hohler, multiple tournament finalist.

The evening will also feature the editor-in-chief of Založba Pivec Milena Pivec, tournament initiator Zora A. Juric and editor of the Pivec Publishing House Nina Flisar.

She will spice it up with music. Come on Sevčnikar.
