We are happy to host again this year Researchers' Day, which is being prepared by Regional Study Center Celje with partners.

Researchers' Day is an event that emerged from the European Commission's initiative "European Researchers' Night" with the aim of promoting science and research. With the project, we want to spread a positive image of researchers among the general public, dispel negative stereotypes about scientists and inform the public about various research activities taking place in our region. At the event, visitors get the opportunity to gain insight into the research part of the operations of post-secondary, higher education and research institutions, the opportunity to visit local research institutes that are rarely open to the public, the opportunity to participate in experiments and participate in consultations and round tables in the field of research.

Every year, alongside various events, a consultation on the topic of youth research is held in cooperation with the Youth Commission for Celje at the City Municipality of Celje.

Over 21 research, educational and other partners operating in the region and beyond participate in the project, and the event attracts more visitors every year, over 2,000 in 2019. Visitor responses to the "research" offer and media coverage show that the event has become recognizable and that it is fulfilling the purpose of the project - the promotion of science and research work.
