From October 1 to 7, 2014, we will once again celebrate INTERNATIONAL BREASTFEEDING WEEK in Slovenia.
One of our common tasks is to promote and encourage breastfeeding. Breastfeeding Week is a good time to invite you to cooperate and join forces to promote breastfeeding, which is the natural and most appropriate way of feeding and living together of children with mothers. During this time, we can all do something positive towards the aforementioned goal.
The World Breastfeeding Association (WABA) sets a theme for World Breastfeeding Week every year. This year, we want to highlight the importance of breastfeeding in terms of development goals, so this year's theme and motto for World Breastfeeding Week is "Breastfeeding - a win for life."
On this occasion, the Association of Lactation and Breastfeeding Consultants of Slovenia, Celje General Hospital and Celje Central Library are preparing a gathering with a lecture: Breastfeeding - The Challenge of the Modern Woman.
We will be joined by members of the Slovenian Lactation and Breastfeeding Consultants Association, a doctor and nurses from Celje General Hospital, who will answer questions and dilemmas about breastfeeding.
