ABOUT THE STORY:

The World Literature Festival - Fabula, the central Slovenian literary festival with more than two decades of international reputation, is opening a new chapter this year by expanding its program to Celje, which will become one of the key venues of the festival.

The festival intertwines Slovenian and international literature and brings it to the audience and public space in Celje, Ljubljana, Maribor and other cities across Slovenia.

The festival's special feature is also its three literary installations: Fabula Armchair, Write Your Own Fabula! and the city's Literature of the World listening room, which will be intended for public use and visitors. Throughout the festival, they will offer the opportunity for interactive encounters with literature, creating stories and listening to literary works in public venues.

The festival is an opportunity to spread reading culture, involve local communities, and strengthen cultural life in Celje and the wider Slovenian region.
