We invite you to a conversation about life, emotions and the attitude towards transience, which will be intertwined with many years of rich experiences of guests at the Slovenian Hospice Association and will be guided through the guide The Book of Life, authored by Andreja Cilenšek, which opens up this topic. Volunteer Miha Zimšek's guests will be Renata J. Roban, president of the Slovenian Hospice Association, Heda Zimšek, president of the Celje Hospice Association, and Andreja Cilenšek, a volunteer at the association.

You are kindly invited to join us on Thursday, March 23, 2017, starting at 6 p.m., in the Levstik Hall of the Celje Central Library (Muzejski trg 1a).

Hospickafe is an informal social event where, in the safe atmosphere of the twenty-year tradition of the Slovenian Hospice Society, which cares for the dying and their relatives, we talk about transience. We share experiences of accompanying the seriously ill, we testify about death, we talk about the process of grieving the loss of a loved one. All this with respect and vulnerability, along with stories of sadness, pain and fear, disappointments, feelings of guilt and forgiveness. We help ourselves and others to domesticate the topic of death, we try to de-taboo it.
