In its fifth incarnation, the Izrekanja festival remains faithful to its basic mission – to bring top-notch poetry to the stage in the lapidarium and, within its embrace, to intertwine promising and top-notch, domestic and foreign authors and performers.

This year's Sayings will open Aljaz Primozic with the presentation of his poetry debut Completely silent (LUD Literatura, 2022). Aljaž (born 2001) is a poet and playwright, currently studying Russian studies and philosophy at the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana. He is the winner of the Župančič Flute Award and the Little Veronica Laureate. His poems were included in the anthology of young poetry In zemlja je vibirala kaker živo telo, and his play Kamenčki is part of the fifth book edition of Tapetka! (JSKD). He is also a “child” of Izrekanje, as he has been co-creating the festival since the very beginning in 2018, and in recent years has also been the assistant artistic director.

The opening night will explode into the sounds of authentic, hearty country. We will be joined by the band Six One Five Collective (Nashville, Tennessee, USA), which will undoubtedly conjure up one of the Celje concerts of the year.
The Six One Five Collective is a joint creative project of four musicians who create a mix of country, Americana, folk, and pop.
Their sound, marked by distinct harmonies, masterful vocals and solos, is reminiscent of American music giants such as Fleetwood Mac, Little Big Town and others. Their performances are an eclectic mix of original compositions, hits written for other artists and the hit songs that have become the band's trademark.
Six One Five Collective have performed all over the world, supporting artists such as Lennon Stella, John Legend, India Arie, John Hiatt, Kenny Chesney and others. They have performed on the famous Grand Ole Opry and have toured internationally.
They have also created songs for artists such as Kelly Clarkson, Steven Tyler, Kesha, George Strait, Lee Brice, Ingrid Andress, Marc Broussard and Sister Hazel, as well as for television series such as Nashville, Parenthood, Selling Sunset, Love Island and American Ninja Warrior!
