In the land of diverse stories

We will celebrate Slovenian Public Library Day at the Mišek Knjižek library with writer Tatjana Kokalj.
Her works feature themes such as imagination, books, free time, school... She also deals with the problems of young people, the relationships between adolescents, education, etc.

The books In Snail Street (2002), Snails on Vacation (2003) and Snails in Winter (2003) have been translated into Croatian language. Picture book The Mouse and the Wind (2003) (illustrated by Dasha Simcic) received the Slovenian title in (2004) Hinko Smrekar's recognition at the Biennial of Illustration in Cankarjev Dom. Book Creepy adventures (2003) was chosen as the most suitable picture book to give to newborns. Picture book Polonca and friends (2004) was nominated for the best picture book. The book A stone in the pocket (2005) was nominated for an award in 2007 ten.

In the proceedings Meadow of Secrets and Slovenian Writers for Children and Youth, which was issued by Slovenian Writers' Association with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Slovenia and the Chamber of Commerce of Slovenia] in (2007), stories from her books Emil the Rabbit, Weather Tales and The Mouse and the Wind were published in English.
