You are invited to the 2nd Festival of Original Slovenian Picture Books!

Lila Prap, the author of world-famous picture books, will take us into the world of numbers, counting and learning about animals together, and maybe even helping us catch a dragon. After all the numbers and numbers, we will chat a little, and then we will have fun, because this year, in addition to the Youth Book, Ciciban and Mačka Muri, the author is also celebrating.

At the end, you are invited to the exhibition that we organized at the Celje Central Library to celebrate the eightieth anniversary of the magazine Ciciban.

In collaboration with Mladinska knjiga, the event is part of the program for the National Shared Reading Month.

Suitable for families with children aged 5 and up. At the Library at Mišek Knjižku, and the exhibition opening will be on the first floor of the library.

The events are part of a literary events program co-financed by the Public Book Agency of the Republic of Slovenia. The festival is held in cooperation with the National Month of Shared Reading (NMSB 2025).

The 2nd Festival of Original Slovenian Picture Books will take children into the imaginative world of picture books in the year when Mladinska knjiga celebrates its 80th anniversary, with numerous events where renowned Slovenian authors, illustrators and illustrators will join forces. The events, which will take place throughout Slovenia and connect different generations, We will pay tribute to books and authors, artistic expression, the charm of storytelling, and the joy of reading together! The 2nd Festival of Original Slovenian Picture Books will take place between September and December 2025.
