Irena Cerar She grew up at the foot of the Kamnik Mountains, but later exchanged these mountains for Ljubljana's Rožnik. As a child, she spent a lot of time with her school librarian, who raised her to be a passionate reader. At first, she wanted to become a biologist, but her Slovene teacher wisely advised her to develop her talent for languages and writing, saying that she would always be able to write about nature. That's how it turned out. At the end of her studies in comparative literature, Irena set out on her own path: she graduated in mountain fairy tales and short stories. Since then, she has been a woman who believes in the power of nature and words.
