In the Belimuc family, everyone has always been white. Mom and dad are white, grandma and grandpa are white, great-grandma and great-grandpa, cousins, uncles and aunts... Everyone was white. Today, the Belimuc family is expecting a new baby. Dad is impatiently pacing back and forth when a gentle meow is finally heard from the basket. Mom and Dad Belimuc are overjoyed to see the little kittens, and then they stand there in astonishment when they see a tiny black head among the small white balls. Nothing like this has ever happened in the Belimuc family.
The play addresses the youngest and teaches them, in a playful and humorous way, tolerance and understanding of difference, as well as mutual respect, acceptance of diversity, and an open, harmonious society.
The play is based on the book "The Story of the White Cat Who Was Pure Black" (Claude Aveline) and is performed by the Fru-Fru Theater at the Library at the Mouse Bookstore. Free admission.
