You are cordially invited to the opening of the exhibition Discover Slovenia in Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, featuring contributions prepared by young people from Celje and Slovenia for this globally read and influential German newspaper over the past two years.
The exhibition will be accompanied on its journey by young journalists with mentors Dr. Monica Hühner and Dr. Gerald Hühner from the Discimus Lab institute, which oversees the implementation of the Mladina piše/Jugend Schreibt project in Slovenia. This project began 36 years ago, when the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung invited young people and their teachers from Europe and the world to participate, and has been running in Slovenia since 2020. The second, very successful season of work by our young journalists has just ended in Celje. They have published or will publish 22 reports on stories from Celje and their homeland in FAZ. The project involves students and teachers from the Fran Roš and Lava primary schools, the Alma M. Karlin Secondary School, the Celje School Center Secondary School for Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics and Media and the Celje – Center Gymnasium, as well as students from Udine, Maribor II. Gymnasium, Velenje School Center and Obale. The project is being sponsored by the Celeia Celje Institute and the Municipality of Celje, and the exhibition is being created in collaboration with the Celje Central Library and the Discimus Lab Institute.
