Hospickafe is an informal social event where, in the safe atmosphere of the twenty-year tradition of the Slovenian Hospice Society, which cares for the dying and their relatives, we talk about transience. We share experiences of accompanying the seriously ill, bear witness to death, and talk about the process of grieving the loss of a loved one. All this with respect and vulnerability, along with stories of sadness, pain and fear, disappointments, feelings of guilt and forgiveness. We help ourselves and others to domesticate the topic of death, and we try to de-taboo it.

"CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS – IGNORED GRIEVANTS"
on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 5 p.m. in the Central Library of Celje, Study Reading Room
The gathering will be hosted by a volunteer from the Slovenian Hospice Association, Manca Košir, and her guests will include sociologist and school counselor Majda Petan, known to the public primarily as a pop and folk singer, psychologist Alenka Tacol, professional worker at the hospice association Martina Košar, and association volunteer Miha Zimšek.
The reflection will be inspired by Lea Buscaglia's booklet Autumn of Timi's Leaf, based on which the volunteers of the Celje Hospice Association prepared a puppet show and will also present it on this occasion.  
We therefore invite people who have lost loved ones, people with their own experience of transience, and all those who would like to listen to experiences and enrich themselves internally through conversation to our company.
