Ecuador is a South American country located on the equator, which also gave it its name. It has a great geographical diversity: the Andes chain, whose snow-capped peaks reach into the sky, the rainforest of the Amazon basin and the fertile fields of the Pacific coast, where bananas thrive best. The Galapagos Islands, born of fire, are 1,000 km away from the mainland, which is why they have preserved a unique flora and fauna that inspired Charles Darwin's theory of the evolution of species.
The travelogue will be presented by Jože Kolar and Ivana Ramšak Kolar.
