Between March 22 and April 22, 2017, an exhibition of newsletters and proceedings commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Roš Days will be on display on the first floor.

Meeting of elementary school literary creators in grades 8 and 9 and a call for the best literary newsletters with contributions from elementary school children and high school and grammar school authors. Dear principal, respected principal, mentor of literary activities, editor of the literary newsletter! For the thirtieth time, we are announcing the literary competition for Roš's Days. A distinctive meeting with a long tradition is intended for elementary school literary creators in grades 8 and 9, which is professionally prepared by the Public Fund of the Republic of Slovenia for Cultural Activities with the Celje Regional Branch in cooperation with the host, Frana Roša Elementary School, Celje. Special features of the literary competition: – it is intended for young literary creators; – the first selection is made by mentors of literary circles and/or Slavic teachers at schools; – a professional jury selects twenty texts by young authors, including five finalists; – twenty selected authors are invited to Celje in March to a literary workshop led by established Slovenian literary creators; – mentors of the awarded students are also invited to the meeting, for whom the organizer prepares a special educational workshop; – selected texts are presented at the main event of the meeting with the awarding of book awards; – texts by all twenty authors are published in a special literary anthology, which will be especially rich and extensive in 2017 due to the jubilee; – the best texts of the 5 finalists will be published in the magazine Mentor (May 2017).

Let us emphasize that this is a carefully and professionally prepared competition with educational workshops for young authors and mentors! We will be happy if you respond to our invitation and your school also sends a selected literary text to the competition. We will prepare an exhibition of all school publications that arrive at our address by the deadline as part of the meeting, from March 22 to April 22, 2017.

We will prepare professional training for the editorial offices of the awarded newsletters at the Frana Roš Elementary School in the morning. Exhibition opening: Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at 4 p.m. Calls will also be published on the websites of the JSKD and the Frana Roš Elementary School (for the literary meeting).
