Due to great interest, we will organize a repeat screening of the feature film about Alma M. Karlin.

Alma M. Karlin is a Slovenian phenomenon of a bold, courageous woman who, between 1919 and 1927, embarked on an eight-year, dangerous and risky journey around the world with her typewriter, the famous “Erika”. By writing about this experience, which marked her for the rest of her life, she experienced her inner catharsis. It was this journey of searching, of “knowing herself” (as Alma calls it), of searching for some eternal truths about existence and life, religion and cultures, that brought her to a higher spiritual level and awakened in her philosophical insights that were reflected in her later works. This journey of hers is also the central theme of the feature documentary.
