We invite you to a journey through the most remote and untouched part of the world. In the Falkland Islands, we will visit the nesting grounds of albatrosses and penguins and stop in the capital Port Stanley, then leave civilization and enjoy the natural beauty of the mountainous South Georgia archipelago during the mating season of sea lions, among which millions of king penguins also live. We will step onto the seventh continent, where despite the cold, wind and snow, it is teeming with life. Penguins are looking for a dry place to nest, seals are already nursing their pups and whales are returning to the richest sea for food. This is a part of the world that is so beautiful that it is difficult to describe it in words, let the photos in the lecture do the talking.
The travelogue lecture will be held as part of the University for the Third Age in Study reading rooms.
