In their latest book, authors Veronika Plantan and Uroš Plantan, M.D., present a model of traditional medicine that explains why we get sick and how we get better. This book presents the causes of illness for the first time, giving us extraordinary power to take our lives into our own hands and make changes in the right direction, in the direction of life.
The authors intertwine old, almost forgotten knowledge about life in an original way, and their insight is reflected in every sentence, because they know how to lift the veils to the core of life in an unusual, fresh, and sometimes surprising way.
The book reveals the ancient knowledge of our ancestors and, as the authors emphasize, they did not discover anything new, but through many years of experience they drew a common thread from the knowledge of today's completely ignored giants of the art of healing, Hippocrates, Dioscorides, Celsus, Galen, Avicenna, Hildegarde, Paracelsus, Mesmer, Hufeland, Culpeper. The book is the result of their work, research, observation and treatment of people, especially at their clinic, which they founded in Egypt. It is therefore not a theoretical historical overview, it is a useful manual that may save the lives of many, just as their knowledge saved the lives of many.
As the authors emphasize in their book, reading will not make a significant difference to anyone's situation; actions are necessary, only this can lead us in the direction of life.
It is also presented magnetism, an ancient healing method that has been used, according to preserved records and traditions, for at least five thousand years. These sources refer to even older knowledge collected in the libraries of Babylon and Alexandria. Magnetism has been around for thousands of years, and even this knowledge has almost disappeared. The authors bring it back into our lives.
Modern times show us that we will find the solution by returning to our origins, to the healing powers of nature. Magnetism can be compared to fire that penetrates everywhere, and if we use magnetism to heal everything living and non-living, this heat, this flow of energy accelerates the functioning of the muscles, the nervous system... in the body, it re-establishes order and harmony in all tissues, organs, in every part of the body, as ancient texts tell us.
Because it works not only on the physical level, but primarily on the mental level, it is successfully used to treat mental illnesses and problems. The most important thing is to eliminate the cause of the illness. Much has been written about the causes in this book, so it is necessary to emphasize that magnetism is unique in this area and therefore so effective that it can cure illnesses at their roots.
Magnetism has been built into humanity, just as various powers are built into it. From this we can conclude that it cannot be something new, because with it we do not discover any new qualities or abilities of man. Magnetism is neither something accidental, nor is it the invention of some important mind, because the development is organic and has its roots in the past, whence it originated. Magnetism is in origin an art of healing as old as humanity. The doctrine of magnetism, however, is new, because the facts scattered throughout history have been recollected and have been able to unite into a theory on which rational practice was based.
When studying ancient sources, we often find descriptions of unusual phenomena that modern theory cannot understand and therefore puts them in the closet of myths and legends and pushes them away from reality. Such phenomena are not lacking in any time and among any people. Everyone saw the same phenomena, only they described them differently. Over time, the treatment of diseases with different approaches was given different names, such as the art of magic, miracles, black and white magic, practices in temples, clairvoyance in sleep, at oracles, visions, ecstasies. Everything was performed very similarly, but it appeared differently from country to nation and from individual to individual. Thus, supernatural phenomena were interpreted differently, they said that a person comes into contact with demons, gods, spirits, fairies, because each nation, each country or individual experienced it differently.
As noted in several sources, magnetization can produce strange phenomena that grant the magnetized person unusual powers. Thus, in the 18th century, Samuel Taylor Coleridge wrote about magnetism:I have seen and experienced things that if you told me, I wouldn't believe. So I don't expect you to believe me!«
The event will be held in the Study Reading Room.
