Dear Sir/Madam,

We would like to inform you that Barbara Popit's lecture, Tribute to the Himalayas, which was supposed to take place on Monday, October 18, at 5:30 PM, will be canceled due to the lecturer's illness and will be postponed to January 2022.

Instead, we are in for an extraordinary and unforgettable musical experience on Monday.

Accordionist and composer Jure Tori is best known as a founding member of the legendary band Orlek. He plays melodies that smell of wine and earth, poetry and dance, longing for the sun when trapped in dark mine shafts. With his authorial touch, he actually draws stories with sound that are not difficult to visualize. The songs rock you from one frame to another, from one sigh to another, from one exhale, kiss to another... touch.

Jure Tori plays stories in his own dialect. He plays low and high, from underground mine shafts to 2000 meters high in the Alps. Quiet and intimate, solo on the accordion by the bread oven, but also loudly with his folk punk band Orlek on big stages. Above all, he always plays melodically and pleasantly to the ear.

Cute Nika Zore sings poetry that Jure set to music for the bands Orlek and Flora & Paris.

Together they sound light, chansonnier, swinger, in short, oh and everything. The playful and ear-stirring melodies on the accordion are drawn out by a combination of love and satirical poetry.

The concert will be held in the Study Reading Room, on the 3rd floor. Entry is through the main entrance of the library. To attend the lecture, it is mandatory to meet one of the PCT conditions and wear a protective mask.
