You are cordially invited to Alenka Veber's lecture entitled The Sounds of Celebrations from Dusty Museum Objects. Just before the holidays, Alenka and I will try to find parallels between celebrations in the past and today. Above all, we will try to find out what celebrations were like in the past, what has changed and why, what role celebrations play today in the lives of individuals, families, communities... and in the global world in general, and how dusty museum objects resonate today, especially those objects that once heralded the festive season.
